INDIVIDUAL PSYCHOTHERAPY
I work with individuals from the ages of ten and up who are interested in making positive changes within themselves. Some people come to me with suspected or confirmed “diagnoses,” such as depression, anxiety or PTSD. However many of my clients just have trouble coping with “life issues,” which we have all experienced at some time or other. Relationship troubles, communication issues, transitions, loss - sometimes life’s stressors simply outweigh our ability to handle them in a healthy, effective manner. Regardless of the problem, individual counseling can be beneficial.

Drawing from a variety of modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness and person-centered therapy, I tailor my approach to the individual needs of each client.
Clinical hypnosis is an altered state of awareness, perception or consciousness that is used by licensed and trained professionals for treating a variety of psychological and/or physical problems. It is a highly relaxed state - a state of inner absorption, concentration and focused attention. Believe it or not, you have already experienced a similar state many times, whether by daydreaming or driving from point A to point B, and wondering how the heck you got there, absorbed as you were in your inner thoughts. In these uncontrolled trance states, our unconscious is highly sensitive to suggestion. We may be holding on to painful old feelings or thoughts, or incorrect beliefs about the world, other people and ourselves. These incorrect or maladaptive perceptions often shape our outlook on life, our conscious perspective and our behaviors and choices. It is possible, through hypnosis, to adjust these problematic beliefs and behaviors so that they align more properly with our true selves. Hypnosis can be used to treat anxiety, low self-esteem, unhealthy habits and a myriad of physiological conditions.
